How we work with you

At DECHY, a project follows a clear path, with plain reports and decisions kept in your hands. You always know which stage the work is in, what it delivers, and what comes next.

The details change with each project. The principles stay the same.

  • 1,200+ clients helped

The stages

What happens at each stage

  1. Understand

We listen first. We learn what you are trying to achieve, who will use the result, what exists today, and what constraints apply. You receive a short summary to confirm we understood.

    What it produces

    • Summary of the problem
    • Success measures
  2. Plan

We set out options in plain language, with trade-offs, rough costs, and risks. We recommend one, and propose a first step that is small enough to judge.

    What it produces

    • Options
    • Recommendation
    • First-step plan
  3. Build

We work in short cycles of a few weeks. At the end of each, you see working results and tell us what to change. Scope is agreed in writing, and changes are discussed before they happen.

    What it produces

    • Working increments
    • Regular reports
  4. Launch

We test thoroughly, release carefully, train the people who will use the result, and prepare a way back if something goes wrong.

    What it produces

    • Test results
    • Release plan
    • Training
  5. Support

We look after what we built, fix problems, and help it improve. Support is agreed in advance, so you know who to ask and how quickly we respond.

    What it produces

    • Support agreement
    • Improvement list

Shapes of engagement

Three ways to work together

The right shape depends on how well you know what you need.

How clear is your goal?

Choose this when

You know what you need, and it has a clear end.

What you get
An agreed scope, timeline, and price range, with checkpoints.
Keep in mind
Changes to scope are discussed and agreed before work continues.

Communication

How we keep you informed

Regular

  • A short written update at an agreed rhythm.
  • A call at each checkpoint.

Plain

  • Reports say what was done, what comes next, and what is at risk.
  • Technical terms are explained.

Visible

  • You can see working results as they appear.
  • Decisions and changes are written down.

Early

  • Bad news is reported when it is known.
  • Risks are raised before they become problems.

Choosing the right approach

What we will not do

We will not promise outcomes that depend on things we do not control, such as search rankings or perfect security. We will not hide problems, pad estimates to look cautious, or push a larger project than you need.

We will tell you when a smaller step, a different tool, or no new technology would serve you better.

  • No surprise costs: changes are agreed first.
  • No lock-in by design: your code and data are yours.
  • No jargon without explanation.

Common questions

Questions about working with us

How do you price work?

We give a price range after the planning stage, and refine it as details become clear. Ongoing work is agreed by team size or by cycle. We discuss the model that suits you.

Who owns what you build?

That is agreed in writing before work starts. We aim for you to own your code and data and to receive the documentation needed to maintain them.

Can we see progress during the project?

Yes. You see working results at the end of each cycle, and receive regular written updates.

What if we want to stop?

You can. Each cycle ends with something usable, and we hand over what exists, with documentation.

How do you work across time zones?

We agree overlapping hours and a communication rhythm at the start, and use written updates to keep work moving.
