Software for healthcare organizations
Healthcare runs on information that must be right, private, and available to the right person at the right moment. We build and connect the systems around that information: portals, booking, records, reporting, and the links between them.
- 1,200+ clients helped

At a glance
What we build
We build the systems clinics, practices, care providers, and health companies use to book, record, communicate, and report, designed so sensitive information stays protected.
Problems we solve
Information is spread across systems that do not talk to each other, staff re-enter the same details, patients phone for what they could see online, and privacy rules raise the stakes of every change.
Who we serve
Clinics, practices, care providers, health technology companies, and the teams that support them.
How to choose
Start with the one workflow that costs staff and patients the most time, connect the systems it touches, and build in access control and audit trails from the first screen.
What is different
Why healthcare is not like other software
Three things set healthcare apart. The information is among the most sensitive that exists, so a careless screen can do real harm. The work is interrupted and urgent, so a system that is slow or awkward is not merely irritating, it takes time from care. And the estate is old and varied, with systems bought years apart that were never designed to share data.
Good healthcare software therefore does less than it could and does it reliably. It shows each person only what they need. It records who looked at what. It connects to the systems already in place without asking staff to change how they work for the sake of the software.
We approach it as a connection and protection problem first, and a features problem second.

Care points
What we design in from the start
| Protection | What it means | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| Access control | Each person sees only what their role needs. | Roles, least-privilege defaults, and review of who has access. |
| Audit trail | A record of who viewed or changed information. | Logs that cannot be edited by the people they describe. |
| Data protection | Information is protected when stored and when moved. | Encryption, secure backups, and limits on where data is kept. |
| Consent and minimal data | Only the data that is needed is collected and kept. | Clear consent steps, retention rules, and deletion routines. |
Rules differ by country and by the kind of data. We ask early which apply to you and suggest you confirm requirements with your own compliance adviser.
How we work
Working with a healthcare team
Understand the workflow and its risks
We follow one workflow end to end with the people who run it, noting where information is copied, delayed, or exposed.
What it produces
- Workflow map
- Risk notes
Agree what to build and what to connect
We separate what needs new software from what needs a connection between existing systems.
What it produces
- Scope
- Connection plan
Build with protection first
Access rules, logging, and data handling are built before features, and tested with the people who will use them.
What it produces
- Working increment
- Access tests
Release carefully and measure
We release to a small group, watch for problems, and widen when staff and patients are comfortable.
What it produces
- Pilot
- Review
What teams ask for
Common needs in healthcare
Booking and reminders
Patients choose a time online and get reminders, which reduces missed appointments and phone traffic.
A patient portal
Patients see their appointments, documents, and messages, and complete forms before they arrive. See customer portals.
Connected systems
Records, scheduling, and billing share data through the interfaces your systems offer, so details are entered once. See connecting customer systems for the pattern.
Referral and task workflows
A referral moves through its steps with owners and deadlines, in place of email chains. See process automation.
Reporting for managers
Activity, waiting times, and quality figures on one screen, from agreed definitions. See business dashboards.
Moving off an old system
An older records or booking system brought forward in stages. See legacy system modernization.
What DECHY can do
How we help healthcare teams
Build
- Portals, booking, and internal tools for staff.
- Interfaces designed for busy, interrupted use.
Connect
- Links between your existing systems through the interfaces they offer.
- Data checks that stop mismatches early.
Modernize
- Staged moves away from systems that are hard to change.
- Cloud hosting with a clear data location policy.
Look after
- Monitoring, updates, and security reviews.
- Support for the staff who use the systems.
Technical depth
Privacy and integration notes
The detail a technical reviewer will ask about: where data lives, connecting systems, and using AI carefully.
- Data location is chosen to meet the rules that apply to you, and written down.
- Environments for development and testing never hold real patient data.
- We use standards-based interfaces where your systems offer them, and a thin adapter where they do not.
- Messages are validated, logged, and retried safely, so a failure does not lose or duplicate a record.
Where AI can help, for example sorting incoming messages, we avoid sending identifiable information to outside models unless the provider's terms and your policy allow it. A person reviews anything that affects care. See our AI work.

What clients say
Teams like yours, in their own words
Missed confirmations used to leave gaps in the diary that we noticed too late. The reminders now go out on schedule, and the team can see which patients still need a call.
Grace WilliamsClinic AdministratorOakwell Medical PracticeHealthcare The booking team had to copy customer details into the CRM after every call. DECHY fixed that handoff, and we're no longer entering the same information twice.
Liam MurphyBookings and CRM ManagerEvergreen Appointment ServicesProfessional Services I expected a new visual design. What we got first was a clearer way to choose a membership. People could compare the plans without opening several pages, and the team had fewer questions to answer at the front desk.

Common questions
Questions about healthcare software
Do you hold health data on your own systems?
We design so that your data stays in environments you control or approve. During a project we work with the minimum access needed, and development uses test data, not real records.
Can you work with the systems we already have?
Usually, yes. We connect through the interfaces they offer and build adapters where they offer none. We start with a short review of what is there.
Which privacy rules apply to us?
That depends on your country and the kind of data. We ask at the start, build to the standards you tell us apply, and suggest you confirm the details with your own compliance adviser.
Can patients really use a portal?
Yes, when it is simple and covers what they ask for most: appointments, documents, and messages. We design for people who are unwell, tired, or unfamiliar with technology.
