Software for professional services firms
A professional firm sells time and judgment. Every hour spent on re-typing, chasing, or assembling reports is an hour not sold. We build and connect the systems that capture work, bill it, and share it with clients, so the firm spends its time on the work itself.

At a glance
What we build
We build the systems consultancies, agencies, accountancies, and advisory firms use to win work, deliver it, record time, bill clients, and share documents.
Problems we solve
Client details, time records, documents, and invoices sit in different tools, so partners chase information, billing is late, and clients email files for lack of a better place.
Who we serve
Consultancies, agencies, accountants, advisers, and other firms that sell expertise by the hour, the project, or the retainer.
How to choose
Connect time, projects, and billing first, then give clients one place for documents and status, and report on utilization from the same data.
What is different
A business where information is the stock
A professional firm has no warehouse. Its stock is knowledge, time, and client trust, and all of it lives in documents, calendars, inboxes, and heads. That makes it hard to see where value leaks, and easy to lose it.
Most firms started small and added tools as they grew: one for time, one for projects, one for the client list, one for invoices. Each is sensible. Together they require someone to carry information between them, usually a skilled person on a busy day.
The aim is not to turn a firm into a factory. It is to let people record what they did once, and have the rest follow.
There is a second difference, which is confidentiality. A firm holds its clients' draft accounts, contracts, strategies, and personal details, often for competitors at the same time. A system that mixes them, or lets the wrong colleague see a file, damages trust that took years to build.
What it looks like
One client record across sales and delivery
A firm gains most when sales, delivery, and billing share one client record.

How we work
Closing the leaks, one at a time
Trace the path of an hour
We follow a few real engagements from time worked to cash received and note where information is copied or lost.
What it produces
- Path map
- Leak list
Fix the largest leak first
Often it is time capture or the link between time and the invoice. We fix that before adding anything else.
What it produces
- Connection
- Rules
Give clients a better channel
A portal replaces email attachments with a shared, tracked place for documents and approvals.
What it produces
- Client portal
Report from the same data
Utilization and margin come from the records you already keep, with definitions the partners agree.
What it produces
- Dashboard
- Definitions
Worth knowing
Where income quietly escapes
Most firms lose income in the same few places, rarely through one large failure.
- Time worked but never recorded
- Recorded time on the wrong project or at the wrong rate
- Work done outside the scope that is never billed
- Invoices sent late, so payment is late
- Reminders that depend on someone's memory

Technical depth
Client data and time capture notes
For your developers and IT lead: our choices on keeping clients apart and capturing time reliably, and the reasoning behind each.
- Each client's documents and records are separated in the data layer, not only hidden in the screen.
- Access follows the engagement: a colleague sees a client's files only while they are on that client's team.
- Every view and download of a sensitive document is logged.
- Time entry takes a few seconds from a phone or a calendar entry, so it is recorded the same day.
- Rates and billing rules live in one place, so the invoice follows the agreement.

What clients say
Teams like yours, in their own words
We stopped keeping a second list just to track referral follow-ups. The team can see who owns the next step, and I no longer spend Friday afternoons asking where things got stuck.
Rachel MorganReferral Operations ManagerBridgeway Professional NetworkProfessional Services DECHY pushed back on two pages we thought we needed. I'm glad they did. The site feels clearer, and prospects arrive at calls with a better idea of what we do.
Edward ClarkeManaging PartnerClearview Business AdvisoryProfessional Services We were spending too much time sorting incoming tickets by hand, so we asked DECHY for help. Our agents still make the final call, but now they start in a better place.

Common questions
Questions about software for professional firms
Should we buy a practice management product?
For standard needs, a product is often the quickest route. We help when your way of working is distinct, or when the tools you have need to be connected.
Can you keep client documents secure?
Yes. We design role-based access, encryption, and logs, and limit what each person and system can reach.
Can you connect our time recording to billing?
Usually, yes. Most time and accounting tools offer a way to connect. We check yours and design around it.
Will staff accept a new way of recording time?
They do when it is quicker than what they do now. We design for the fewest clicks and test it with the people who will use it.
Can you build something for a small firm with a small budget?
Yes. A small firm usually gains most from one or two connections, such as time to invoice, and a simple client area. We start there and add only what the firm will actually use.
